With no class yesterday...aka Trout Tuesdays...we set out to the Little J to try to take advantage of the "warmth" (22 degrees and sunny). Long story short, the fishing was slow. Unfortunately, the Little J seems to take a couple days of warm weather to get things going. The water was still noticeably colder than other local streams, although I could not get a temp for you guys. Turns out my thermometer fell off of my pack somewhere along the way...bummer.
We didn't catch many fish, but it was a BEAUTIFUL day and a great trip. My buddy Brent saved us from the skunk with a nice brown on a slumpbuster. Here are some shots I took with my cellphone...that green water makes me weak in the knees.
